Fiocchi Clay Storm Product Review:

Are you looking for a value shell for skeet, trap, or sporting clays?  It doesn’t matter if it’s practicing at the local club or competing in your next big NSCA, ATA, or NSSA tournament; I have a great option for you.  I had the opportunity to try out the new Fiocchi ‘Clay Storm’ target load.  While shooting the 1250 1oz #shell through my Perazzi MX8 with light mods, I found the ignition to be smooth without the harsh push found in some similarly priced shotshells.

Soft Recoil

Recoil was easily controlled, and the results were quite good.  I shot targets from 15 to 50 yards and then followed up with the pattern board.  I suspected from the target breaks that the pellet pattern held up well at distance.  I experienced solid breaks, and the gun didn’t have a lot of “less expensive” shell residue.  I was unable to measure the antimony contentbut I would expect it wasn’t very high based on the mid-$80s price point.  Howeverfor the money, I do feel that this is a fantastic load for the value-minded or high-volume clay target enthusiast.

12 Gauge and 20 Gauge Available

Clay Storm is available in 12 and 20 gauge. There are several load options with varying speeds. Shot sizes available include #7.5, #8, and #9. I don’t think you could go wrong with Fiocchi’s new ‘Clay Storm.‘ Give them a try.  Ammo Nerds has many options available and carries all the top brands.
